Grace Stake Trek
July 27th - July 30th 2026

Trek packing list 

**In Your 5 Gallon Bucket

  • Walking or hiking Shoes - Make sure these are broken in before Trek!

  • An extra pair of shoes (in case your shoes get wet or muddy). Please no flip-flops, sandals, or open-toed shoes.

  • Pioneer outfits (see below)

  • Underwear for each day

  • One set of pajamas

  • Three pairs of socks - Recommend moisture wicking socks and possibly sock liners as well to prevent blisters.

  • Sweatshirt and windbreaker/jacket

  • Book of Mormon (paperback) and a pen

  • Small flashlight

  • Small comb/brush

  • Toothbrush/toothpaste/floss

  • Deodorant

  • Small hand towel

  • Feminine hygiene products (YW)

  • Chafing powder (if needed)

  • Personal medications (if needed)

  • Large Ziploc bag(s)

 

                  **In your Day pack/Backpack

  • Water bottle

  • Work gloves

  • Rain poncho

  • Sunscreen

  • Sunglasses

  • Insect repellant (especially for mosquitoes & ticks)

  • Wet Wipes

  • Small personal first-aid kit - (Band-Aids, moleskin for blisters, OTC pain relievers, etc.)

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Chapstick

  • Extra pair of socks

  • Journal (provided by the Stake)

 

**In Your Black Trash Bag

  • Sleeping bag

  • Pillow

  • Sleeping pad (thin enough that it can fit in a garbage bag with your pillow and sleeping bag)

 

**Wear pioneer clothing Monday morning when you come to Trek in addition to what you pack.

 

What NOT to bring: video games or electronics (Xbox, Switch, PlayStation, etc.), baseball hats, football/baseball/frisbee, hair dryers, curling irons, snacks (these will be provided), lighters, matches, fireworks, knives/pocket knives.

 

 

Pioneer Outfits:

 

Young Women:

  • 2 or 3 long (midcalf to ankle length) dresses or skirts (solid or small print) and shirts if wearing skirts (please no logos, t-shirts or sheer fabrics). Ideally dresses or skirts/shirts should be lightweight, long-sleeved and light-colored fabric.

  • 2 or 3 pairs shorts or pants to wear under dresses/skirts. Recommend lightweight and breathable - leggings may hold in heat. You want something that will prevent bug bites and chafing.

  • Bonnet or wide brimmed hat - NO baseball hats

  • One or two aprons - Recommended w/ pockets

 

Young Men:

  • 2 or 3 pair long, loose fitting pants. Ideally cotton, Docker-type pants rather than jeans. NO shorts.

  • 2 or 3 light-weight, long sleeved, button-up, loose fitting shirts.  Recommend cotton fabrics. Preferably lighter colored fabric, no logos or t-shirts).

  • Suspenders or belt

  • Wide-brimmed hat - NO baseball hats
