Grace Stake Trek
July 27th - July 30th 2026

Trek Schedule

 

Monday July 27th

  • 6:30 AM

    • Arrive at the Stake Center dressed in pioneer clothing

      • Devotional, quick breakfast, organize families and load gear

  • 7:30 AM

    • Depart from Stake Center

  • 9:30 AM

    • Arrive at Cokeville, WY truck stop for short break

  • 10:00 AM

    • Depart Cokeville, WY

  • Noon

    • Arrive at Farson, WY rest stop for sack lunch

  • 1:00 PM

    • Depart Farson, WY

  • 1:00-4:00 PM

    • Arrive at Sixth Crossing

    • Set up camp

  • 4:30 - 6:30 PM

    • Pioneer activities (Tour Sixth Crossing Visitor Center, Square dancing, Pioneer games, Mini-devotional, etc…)

  • 5:30 PM

    • Evening Meal

  • 7:00 PM

    • Mandatory National Historic Trails training for leaders

  • 8:00 PM

    • Family Activities (Family Home Evening - Campfire) planned by Ma and Pa

 

Tuesday July 28th

  • 6:15 AM

    • Mini-devotional with families

  • 6:30 AM

    • Breakfast and Break camp/organize personal gear

  • 7:30 AM

    • Depart Sixth Crossing, trek to Sage Campground (~14 miles)

    • Two rest stops during the day to refill water, use porta-potties and eat lunch. Other short rest stops for stories, water, snacks.

      • Snow Fence rest stop - 15 minute break. Refill water, use porta-potties, share stories.

      • Ellis Ranch rest stop- 30 minute break. Have lunch, use porta-potties, and share stories.

      • Pull Hill - Women’s pull with a short break to gather for a thought/devotional/journals.

      • Hudson Atlantic Road rest stop- Short stop for water break, stories.

  • Late Afternoon/Evening

    • Arrive at Sage Campground

      • Set up camp, Evening meal, Activities, Family Time. Water and restrooms available in camp.

 

Wednesday July 29th

  • 6:15 AM

    • Mini-devotional with families

  • 6:30 AM

    • Breakfast and Break camp/organize personal gear

  • 7:30 AM

    • Depart Sage Camp, trek to Rock Creek Hollow (~15 miles)

    • Two rest stops during the day to refill water, use porta-potties and eat lunch. Other short rest stops for stories, water, snacks.

      • Lower Monument (Willie Rescue Monument) overlooks the Sweetwater River and the first part of Rocky Ridge trekked by the pioneers - 15 minute break for stories/thoughts/short devotional.

      • Upper Monument (top of Rocky Ridge) - 15 minute break for devotional/stories/photos.

      • Lewiston Lakes - 30-45 minute break. Have lunch, use restrooms, refill water, and share stories.

      • Strawberry Creek - 15 minute break. Refill water and use restrooms.

  • 5:00 PM

    • Arrive at Rock Creek Hollow

      • Set up camp, Evening meal, Devotional in Amphitheater, Activities and Family Time. Water and restrooms available in camp.

 

Thursday July 30th

 

  • 6:15 AM

    • Mini-Devotional in Families

  • 6:30 AM

    • Breakfast

  • 7:00 AM

    • Testimony Meeting in Rock Creek Hollow Amphitheater

  • 9:00 AM

    • Break Camp/Check-out by Noon

  • Noon

    • Leave Rock Creek Hollow

    • Snacks on Vans/Bus

  • 2:00 PM

    • Arrive in Kemmerer, WY

    • Lunch (Pizza?)

  • 5:30 - 6:00 PM

    • Arrive back at the Stake Center
